STAR Assistance Jet Ambulance Organization Process
An air ambulance departure requires the flawless functioning of a massive bureaucratic and logistical operation in the background. We manage this process from a single center on behalf of our business partners:
1. Immediate Medical Consultation: Requests received by our call center are assessed immediately by our medical directorate and flight suitability decisions are made rapidly.
2. Rapid Flight Planning and Permissions: Directorate General of Civil Aviation procedures, international overflight permissions and airport slot coordination are completed urgently by our operations center.
3. Apron Access and Ground Transfer: The patient is picked up from the hospital by ground ambulance and transferred to the aircraft door (tarmac/apron access) with zero shaking and zero waiting.
4. Expert Supervision Throughout the Flight: Our aviation physicians and intensive care nurses/paramedics, who are familiar with flight physiology, monitor the patient’s vital parameters with precision throughout the flight and intervene immediately in case of any change.
5. Arrival and “Bed-to-Bed” Handover: The patient is received by our integrated ground teams waiting at the destination airport and personally handed over by our medical team to the bed of the clinic where the patient will be admitted.
